A Swire New Generation Concert -- Cello World

Couldn't believe that it could be that disastrous. Before the concert, I thought they were just another Trey Lee -- talented young local musicians. Although it was my first time to listen to Pezzo Capriccioso (composed by Tchaikovsky, one of my faviourite composers), I was sure that Tchaikovsky's music couldn't be so boring. When it came to Rococo Variations, one of my favourite cello masterpieces, I had to admit that it was the worst interpretation I'd ever heard.

Maybe I'm not the right person to critique the concert because I was so disappointed that I didn't go back after the intermission. I'm not here to comment on the technial skills of the players. All I want to say is that the way they handled the music was not delicate enough. It's all about the interpretation of the pieces.

What did I do afterwards? I went straight to HMV and listened to a recording of Rococo Variations played by Maisky. Couldn't feel any better.

Health Series 1 -- Yoga

Have just had my first yoga class. Can't believe yoga can be so healing. Although I looked like an idiot when I was struggling with those stretching poses, my back pain seemed to be vanished after just 45 mins. Feel so good.

My goal is to lose at least 4 pounds and get a better body shape before August. Hope I could manage to do that.

May-Aug

Gosh! I've finally submitted the last assignment for the MA courses this year! It won't bother me until Sept, so I've got some new plans to do:

1) drama course
2) red wine course
3) fitness plan
4) cello/ music camp
5) photo taking

Summer, I'm coming! Hurray!
